Among the most anticipated initiatives of RHS 2026 is one of the most popular events for both the public and industry professionals: the API Sicilia “Pizza Mystery Box” Trophy, organized in collaboration with the Italian Pizzeria Association. A format that combines technique, creativity, and pizza culture through a challenge that puts professional pizzaiolos to the test with a highly engaging and innovative competition.
Each competitor will receive a Mystery Box containing a selection of ingredients designed for the creation of a freely interpreted pizza. There are no style constraints: classic, contemporary, creative, or gourmet — the key is to enhance the ingredients and transform them into a coherent, balanced, and surprising product.
The evaluation will take place in a dual format:
✔ Technical jury — composed of industry experts, renowned pizzaiolos, and authoritative figures from the foodservice world
✔ Popular jury — because, in the end, pizza is also judged by those who enjoy it every day as consumers
The combination of the two votes will determine the winner of the API Sicilia Trophy 2026.

An event that will bring life to the fair and bring together pizzaiolos, restaurateurs, suppliers, and operators from the entire Ho.Re.Ca. supply chain.
RHS was created to enhance professional skills and gastronomic excellence, and pizza is one of the most iconic Made in Italy products worldwide. Bringing a dedicated pizza championship to the fair means:
• showcasing the evolution of the sector
• providing space for training and discussion
• highlighting techniques, ingredients, and new trends
• promoting territories and those who represent them
An event that perfectly reflects the spirit of the exhibition: creating culture, opportunities, and connections within the Sicilian Ho.Re.Ca. market and beyond.
